Georgia Kate Flys to Ruston
Georgia Kate is a traveling woman. We flew home with Gogo on Saturday morning and GKS did fantastic. I think that Gogo and I were both VERY nervous about putting a baby with colic on an airplane at 5 weeks old. But much to our surprise she did such a good job and slept the entire way to Shreveport. We are hoping that we will do the same on the trip home. Megan will be flying home with us next Saturday. We are excited about being in Ruston and getting the chance to introduce Georgia Kate to all her friends and family here. She has already been to stay with Memaw and met all the Kilpatrick aunts and uncles. Aunt Missy is coming to spend the day in Ruston tomorrow and we are going to Uncle Ross' track meet on Wednesday. I am sure that we will be doing a lot more meeting while we are here. If you don't get to see her when we are home this time we will be back in May! YEA!!!! Uncle Ross will be graduating and we are soooooo excited about meeting Uncle Daniel, Aunt Piper, Cooper, and Campbell then too. I can't wait to see everyone. I haven't seen my precious neice and nephew since Thanksgiving!!!! WAY TO LONG!!!!! I will be posting soon with pictures and stories about our trip to Ruston!

Fun with Gogo
Gogo came the Saturday before I delivered Georgia Kate and then she stayed for two weeks. We had so much fun with her while she was in Orlando. She was sooooooo helpful while she stayed. It was hard to see her leave, but she is already on her way back! She will be staying with us for another week starting this Friday! YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good Night Sleep Tight
These are just a few pictures of Georgia Kate sleeping! She seems to do the cutest things when she sleeps. Our favorite is the hand above her head with the other one on her chest. She just looks so peaceful.
Daddy's Friends Came to Visit
Some of Robert's friends from college came to visit us after we got home from the hospital. Robert was so excited to show off his little girl to some of his best friends from UF. Jimmy and Chris were both in our wedding and have been really good friends of Robert's all through college and over the last few years. They were both Sigma Chis at UF. Amanda is Chris' wife.
Our First Doctor's Visit
This was our first outing since coming home from the hospital. We had a doctor's visit on Monday morning. Little did I know how hard it would be to get Georgia Kate ready, her diaper bag packed, and myself ready and out the door in enough time to get to the doctor's office. Robert was meeting us there and needless to say he called us several times to make sure we were on our way. I have learned my lesson and now if I have an early morning outing I pack the bag the night before and make sure that everything is ready for me to get up and get dressed in the morning. Gogo was a huge help with this outing!
We had a great visit and Dr. DiDea told us that we had a beautiful healthy baby. Georgia Kate weighed 8 lbs. and 5 oz. She had gained back to her original birth weight plus one ounce. The doctor was happy with that weight gain and from what it looksl like she is going to be a "healthy" little girl...or should I say big girl. Waiting for the doctor. Our doctor's office has a waiting area just for new borns.
Robert doing work while waiting on the nurse to come get us out of our room. Does this surprise you! What would be do without that blackberry!
Georgia Kate was pooped after her first doctor's appointment. We were trying to get her dressed and turned her over to button her buttons on the back of her dress and she fell fast asleep! I thought this picture was priceless.

Welcome Home Georgia Kate
Georgia Kate Stuart came home on Friday, March 27, 2009. Gogo was in Orlando to welcome us home. She had prepared a homecooked meal and had everything ready for us when we arrived. We had a champagne toast for Georgia Kate! Stubaby and Mrs. Ann came over for dinner to see us. Georgia Kate did so well her first day home. We are glad that we have our baby girl at home with us safe and sound.
The new family!
I thought this was a fun picture! Oh how our life has changed! I think the champagne glasses with the pacifier says it all!

Georgia Kate's Hospital Stay
Due to the c-section we had a long stay in the hospital. Like I mentioned earlier in another post we went in on Sunday to start the induction process and then we finally got to leave on Friday morning. We were ready to leave and get home. Winnie Palmer Hospital was great and has an A-team staff. We were VERY pleased with everything.
While we were in the hospital we had lots of family and friends stop by to see us. We are so blessed to have such a great support system. Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to help us welcom Georgia Kate Stuart into this world. Below are some pictures of some of our family and friends that came by to see us.

Daddy is the BEST swaddler ever!
Uncle Ryan had to leave the day after GKS was born. He hated to leave, but had to get back to work. He was so sweet to stick around for as long as he did. He did get to hold her before he left though!
Uncle Clint (Uncle Candy) loves feeding and holding her
Annie and her kids came by to see Georgia Kate
Aunt Betty and Uncle Georgia came by to see the great neice. Aunt Betty stopped by before Georgia Kate was born because she volunteers in the NICU unit.
