We got teeth

The two teeth that we have been working on since the beginning of July FINALLY came in. It took forever and lots of whiny times too! They are both in now and they make her look like a big girl. She is growing up TOO fast!

Nothing Better than New Pajamas!

I guess until I get in the swing of teaching and being a mommy you may get a lot of post at one time and most likely it will be during the weekend. I am trying to do it during the week, but sometimes its hard! Anyway...aren't these the cutest pajamas ever. I love zip up PJ's from the Gap. She always looks so cute in them.

Funny things she does

I was feeding Georgia Kate her morning bottle Saturday morning in her boppy pillow. I ran to the kitchen to grab another bottle because she was eating so good and this is what I came back to. She had wiggled herself down and she thought it was the funniest thing EVER. I walked over to her and she just started laughing. I got her all propped back up and she did it again. Still just laughing!

Blowing Bubbles

Georgia Kate has started blowing bubbles with her mouth. She is so cute when she does it and she thinks it is the funniest thing in the world. Mommy and Daddy don't think that it is so funny when she does it while we are feeding her!
There they are!

Bad picture with the eyes closed, but she is working hard getting those bubbles out!

Trying to get the bubbles going!

5 Months Old!

My baby girl is 5 months old today. She is doing so much now. Her personality is just precious. She is happiest in the morning and wakes up with smiles and giggles. I love to see her in the mornings! She is eating baby food and drinking juice bottles. She has a temper that you can hear from a mile away. When she gets mad...she gets MAD! She is sitting in her exersaucer all the time and loves to play with all her toys. She is trying to crawl. She can get her knees under her belly, but doesn't really know what to do after that. Robert and I are really enjoying her and love her sweet smiles! I can't believe that she is five months old!

A Visit from D-Dan

D-dan was in town for some other engagements so he got to stay with us at our condo. We had the best time just hanging out and playing with D-dan. He loves little Georgia Kate and she changes so much between his visits. She was putting on quiet the show for him while he was here. She laughed, played, and even cooed alot. We are so glad that we got to see him while he was in town. Hopefully we will see Gogo soon. Georgia Kate misses her Gogo.
I think that I am finally caught up with all my blogging! Sorry I posted so many new things at once!

I love this picture!

Mommy's first day of school and Georgia Kate's first day at Annie's

Monday was the big day. I had prepped myself for it all week last week. I got up early, got dressed, and even got Georgia Kate up and dressed and we didn't hang out in our PJ's all morning. I was so excited about going back to work. I LOVE my job and wanted to go and see all my teacher friends and get back in a routine. Well, Monday morning rolled around and Robert was so sweet and he helped out so much. He made my morning so easy for me. Then 7:30 rolled around and it was time for me to walk out the door. It was the hardest thing I have ever done. I got so sad and didn't want to leave my baby girl. I cried and cried and even broke down more when I got to school. Robert took the camera and took pictures of her all along the way! I can't imagine what I will be like when we go to our first day of Kindergarten. She had a great day at Annie's house. The kids were there because they don't start school until Monday. She got lots of attention and was worn out when she got home. Aunt Georgia even came by to see her on Monday! It was a fun day and I picked her up at 3:15. She was happy to see her mommy!

I love new pajamas!

I LOVE NEW PAJAMAS!!!!! I bought these for her a couple of months ago when they were on sale. I almost forgot that I had them and they are probably not going to fit her too much longer. She is so long that they are going to be too short soon. I thought that she looked so cute in these pictures.

Waking up in the morning is my favorite time of the day. She is always so happy and smiling!

Posing and showing off the new pjs!

I love to feed Georgia Kate...she is such a good eater!

This is Georgia Kate eating some carrots. She wasn't a big fan although the look on her face says something different. She is doing so good with baby food. She has tried and LOVES green beans, prunes, and squash. She isn't a big fan of pears, bananas, or carrots. We will see how it goes when we start some new things next week. She is getting so big and getting a precious personality.

I promise I will blog soon!

This has been a crazy week going back to work and getting in the routine with Georgia Kate. I have to admit that Monday was VERY hard and I did shed a few tears. It was really sad to leave my sweet little girl. I still miss her so much when I am work all day long, but I think that when I get kids things will be a whole lot easier! I will be super busy. I have some really cute pictures from last weekend and this week. So...I will blog soon I promise. It is hard to work, blog, and take care of a little one! But I love it all! See you soon.

School is Back!!

So, tomorrow I go back for my first day of school. I've been home with Georgia Kate since she was born on March 24 and I have such mixed feelings about going back to work! I have loved being home with her so much...especially in the mornings. But I also love my job and miss the daily interraction with my students at school.

Robert will be responsible for her in the morning, and to get her to Annie's for the day, where I'll pick her up after school ends. We feel so blessed to have such wonderful family to watch after GK during the days.

Wish me luck as I head back to school for pre-planning (kids come back on August 24). I'll keep you posted!

Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok...so I posted a post not to long ago about helping with my comment section...well I still haven't gotten it fixed, but I have figured out that something is missing in the HTML part on the comment section. IF ANYONE knows how to fix this PLEASE email me at kristinkstuart@gmail.com. I would appreciate all the help I can get. I am about to redo my blog and will have to use a new address if I don't get it fixed. It is really bugging me that I can't get comments!

Praise Baby

Georgia Kate started sitting in her exersaucer this past week so this week I decided to try out a new DVD that I bought her...Praise Baby. She LOVED it. It was really nice because instead of annoying Baby Einsteins songs I got to listen to grown up praise and worship music. It was so sweet to watch her looking at the TV so intently. I am so glad that I got to capture this moment!

Hey Georgia Kate...its BO!

We had our friends Bo and Lauren Morgan over for dinner on Monday night. It was so much fun to just visit and hang out with them. Georgia Kate was in such a good mood and did great while we ate dinner and hung out. She even laughed and put on a show for Bo and Lauren. The reason the post has its title is because Bo always comes up to Georgia Kate and says "Hey Georgia Kate...its Bo". We always laugh at him because he is not so sure about being around babies! He did warm up to her and held her the other night. We were so proud!
Bo FINALLY help Georgia Kate. He has not really wanted to hold her since she was born, but he stepped up tonight and Georgia Kate really liked him.

Splish Splash

Robert was helping his dad with some stuff in the yard on Sunday so Georgia Kate and I decided to go swimming while we waited on Dad. She loved the water this time. I am glad she is warming up to the whole swimming thing because she hated it at first!
I love this face!

Love the smile
Isn't this the cutest swimsuit ever!

She is not so sure about this little floaty thing

Saturday with Our Friend Parker

I am a little behind on this post, but last Saturday we went to our friends house to let our little girls play together. Robert went to college with Kevin Duffy...they were in the same fraternity together. Kevin married a beautiful girl named Jenn and they have a precious little girl named Parker Joy. Her name is perfect for her because she is so full of Joy. I have seen so many pictures of Parker and Jenn and I have been trying to get together with the girls for a while now and we finally worked it out for last Saturday. Robert and I went to their house for lunch and let the girls play, well as much as a 6 month and 4 month old can play. I think that Georgia Kate really wanted to figure out the whole crawling thing because Parker was so good at it. They had fun together and I think they will grow up to be good friend. Let's hope so anyway!

Gameday Here We Come...

Growing up in the south there is one thing that I look forward to every year. FOOTBALL! We love football and I have to admit that I think I get just as excited as Robert does when August rolls around. It means that the season is almost here. This year will be very different for us. We are both used to going to EVERY game and not worrying about anybody but ourselves. Well little Georgia Kate has changed our plans a little bit. We now have to find babysitters for Georgia Kate. We are planning on going to a couple of games this year. I think one of the most fun things about game day is coming up with "what to wear". Well...here is one of my "game day" dresses. My grandmother got it for me when she came to visit. I also have another dress that I am getting that my friend Helen Martinez made. I haven't gotten it yet, but plan on having that dress as an option as well. Georgia Kate also has some options for game day as well. She has to dress the part too!

I think my life my have just gotten easier...

Georgia Kate started using her exersaucer (not sure if I spelled that right) today. I was talking to my mom this morning and I was frustrated because Georgia Kate used to LOVE her swing and Boppy seat, but just recently started to fuss every time I put her in either one. Mom said that she probably wants to sit up and that I should try the exersaucer. Well...we had a sweet friend give us their old one so that I could take it to Annie's house this fall. Annie is Robert's aunt and she is going to be keeping Georgia Kate this year for four days a week and then Ann, Robert's mom, is going to keep her for one day. She will be in good hands. So...I went and got the one that my friend gave me and Georgia Kate LOVES it. I was so excited. She just laughed and played in it tonight for a while. She is getting sooooo BIG!
By the way... I have one more week with GKS before I have to go back to work. I know that I am ready and want to go back to work, but it is going to be hard to leave my little angel for the WHOLE day. I love her in the mornings and we won't have that fun time anymore. I told her that she would have to be "laughy" and fun in the evenings now! Hopefully she understood and listened!

A Night with Friends

Last night we had our friends, John and Helen, over for dinner. I decided to try a new dish that I have never cooked before. Robert LOVES Sheppard's Pie. I am not big on all my food being mixed together so I never cook it. He asked for it earlier in the summer and I am trying to get in the routine of cooking again. So...I decided to cook it and invite friends over! It turned out pretty good. I was quiet surprised that I liked it so much. I think that Robert, John, and Helen were happy too! Below is a picture of John and Georgia Kate. She really liked him and even cracked a smile while they were here. We are so lucky to have such great friends! Hope to see all of you soon!

Life is Changing

I just want to say that my mom is the most wonderful lady in the world. She is a super strong woman of God. I am so lucky to have her as my mother. She has always been the glue that sticks our family together. She makes all the holidays so special and makes us feel like kings and queens on our birthdays. She loves me and my brothers more than anything in the world and this is very apparent in the way that she lives her life. She has taught me so much about how to live, laugh, and love. She has been so patient with me and has spent more hours on the phone with me that I can not even begin to count. Our morning chats on my way to school have become such treasured time for me. I LOVE that time of my day. Calling and telling her about my day and now that little Georgia Kate is here we talk about her day most of the time. I love to call her and let her know what GKS has done during the day. Sometimes it is something exciting like eating baby food for the first time, or laughing out loud for the first time, or even when she screams all day long I always want to tell my mom what happened. She always listens, laughs, and offers advice when I need it and even sometimes when I don't want to hear it. I LOVE my mom and hope that I can be half the mom that she has been.
I say all this because I want everyone to know how wonderful my mom is. Her life is changing so much. She has put my grandmother that we have lived with for several years now in an assisted living. This was a difficult thing for her to do, but we all know that it is the best place for my precious Gr'Nana. I know that she misses her terribly. And...next week she will really begin a new phase of her life. She will be taking my precious little brother off to college. Ryan and I both stayed at Louisiana Tech, but Ross will be headed to Baton Rouge on Wednesday. Say a special prayer for her. It is such an exciting time for Ross, but I know that my mom is going to struggle saying goodbye. Ross has been our light, he has kept us all young, he has pulled us together, and I am proud to say that he has taught us so much about life and how to deal with difficult circumstances. I am so proud of him and the Man that he has become. I give all the credit to my Mom and Danny for the hard work that they have done raising their children. Hats off to them for having a christian home and teaching us so much about life.
Mom...I know your life is changing and this is going to be a difficult transition, but hey! God is good! I love you and I am proud to call you my mom!

Getting Stronger...

Georgia Kate is getting so big. We took her clothes off her tonight to feed her because she always makes such a mess. We have been feeding her in her Boppy seat, but tonight we tried the Bumbo Chair out and she loved it. She did so good sitting up and holding her head up. I love these pictures. I think they really show you her true personality. Look at my precious Girl!

Weekend Fun

We had a great weekend. We really didn't do much of anything. Robert played in the annual Gator Sig Classic. He has been playing in this golf tournament the last several years. It is a group of Sigma Chi's from UF. They always seem to have a great time. Georgia Kate and I just hung out and played. Here are a few pics from the weekend. Like I said we didn't do much so the pictures aren't that exciting. We did go to dinner at Maribeth and Clint's house on Sunday night. On Sunday afternoon we went to the Stuart's house and worked on my crayon fences that I am redoing for my kindergarten classroom.
