Winnie The Pooh...Big Mistake!

Ok...so we decided that we would try out the movie with our sweet little Georgia Kate and we decided NOT to go back until she's 3! As you know Winnie The Pooh has been playing the theater and GK loves to watch her some movies, eat popcorn, and she has a new love for sprite! So I thought what the heck! We will try it out and see how she does. Well, she didn't do so well. First of all the previews were WAY TOO LONG and even kinda scary. By the time the movies started Georgia Kate was running towards the screen and Gogo was running to the ticket counter to try to get our money back! It was a crazy, but fun experience. I was so glad that Gogo was there to experience it with us! I guess we won't be going back to the movie for a while!

Pearce Beach Party Part One

As I mentioned in my previous post, which was about a month ago, I thought I would have so much time to blog this summer. I had made a commitment to myself that I would be sure to blog blog blog! Well...once again I have found about a million other things to do this summer but blog! I enjoy blogging because it keeps my family and friends in Louisiana informed on all the fun things we are doing as a family down here in sunny Orlando. So I will keep doing just that...blogging when I can and doing my best to keep friends and family near and far updated on the going ons of The Stuarts!

We just recently went to the beach with my mom's side of the family! This fun trip has been named "The Pearce Beach Party". Yes...we have tshirts and koozies too! We have been going on this trip since 1984! It is always a highlight of my year and I look forward to being with everyone for a week at the best place on earth. We used to go out to eat and enjoy all the lovely putt putt places and go cart hotspots, but now we just stay on the beach until dark and enjoy a home cooked meal in the condo. I must say that as much as I loved going out to eat staying home and not getting "fixed up" is great.

Georgia Kate really enjoyed the beach this year and I think I have accomplished my goal, "Raising a beach lover". Hopefully she will continue to love the sun and sand as she grows up! If she doesn't...she may be kicked out! (Just kidding!) I have posted a few pics from the first few days and I have many more to come!

A Glimpse of our summer

So...I thought that I would have a ton of time to blog this summer because I was going to be staying at home. WELL...I was wrong. My life has been busier that ever these first few weeks of summer. We are in the middle of swim lessons, play dates, and fun times with mommy. I love that GK has somewhere to be all the time, it makes her seem like such a big girl! I now see how busy my mom stayed between swim lessons, cheer practice, ball practice, and other activities that my brothers and I were involved in. It's a full time job keeping her on schedule and getting to all the fun stuff that I have planned for this summer. We are getting ready for the beach and when you have a 2 year old there is soooo much to bring along. When I told GK that she could pick out three dolls to take with her and we started looking at them she said "No...mommy, I need to bring them all". We continued to talk about how we didn't have enough room for every doll we had and she just sighed, shrugged her shoulders, and said otay...I guess I'll leave some behind". I have no clue where she hears these things. Her vocabulary is amazing and I thought she would never talk. Here are a few pictures from our summer so far! Lunch Dates, Friends, and Special Times With Mommy!

This has been such a good week for me and my sweet girl! We had our first week of summer and we have been super busy. I have loved every minute of it and I feel like Georgia Kate and I are becoming close friends! This makes me so happy because my mom is my best friend. She is the most amazing woman in the world and I am so glad that we have a super close relationship. I hope that Georgia Kate and I continue down that path and when she is almost 30 years old with a 2 year old she will be writing the same post about me.My mom continues to tell me that "GK is JUST like her mommy!" Well...I hope that GK gets the privilege of raising a little girl that is JUST like her. It makes me appreciate my mom just a little bit more. I know that some of you that are reading this post are probably just giggling inside knowing that I am being paid back for EVERYTHING that I ever did to my sweet mom. I hear I was quiet challenging, but don't you worry...I am experiencing the EXACT same thing. I am loving every minute of it though!

SCHOOLS OUT FOR THE SUMMER!

Summer is here and Georgia Kate and I couldn't be happier. We are having so much fun and I am trying t to be good about taking pictures so I can document it on here. I am a little behind on putting my pictures on the computer, but I am making that my goal for nap time today! SAHM's I have a new appreciation for you! This is a hard and CONSTANT job!

Georgia Kate is so much fun to be with and play with these days. She is able to communicate with me and let me know exactly what she wants! We pretty much spend our days at the swimming pool or the park. Life is good in the Stuart household and we are looking forward to some fun days ahead! Pictures coming soon.

Georgia Kate had her adenoids out and tubes put in last week. She was one miserable baby and we were so glad to have the answer to all of our sickness and problems. She has had several ear infections and has had some breathing issues. So we decided to have the big surgery. I have to say that as a parent this was so hard to do. I cried and cried when they took Georgia Kate away from me. She was very wild and crazy until they gave her the "happy" pill. I would post her video, but I don't think that is fair to do to my little baby girl. After the pill she hung out in "happy" town for a while and then they took my sweet baby girl to surgery. The doctor came out within 30 minutes to tell us all was great and that we would be able to see her soon. Well we saw her an hour and 1/2 later. It took her THAT long to wake up. Finally she woke up and we got to take our sweet baby girl home. She was pretty sad the rest of the day, but it was nice to have a sweet cuddly little girl!

We have been so busy around here, but haven't taken any pictures lately. It is crazy how I took a million pictures the first 2 years of her life and now I feel like I am a terrible mom for not taking pictures at all. I don't know if it is just not enough time or that my target is a little quicker than she has been ever before. I will say that GK loves for me to take her picture, but she won't sit still for very long!

We spent last Friday in Jacksonville with some friends of Roberts from college. We got to go to the TPC and had a great time until it started raining. We headed home and spent the rest of the evening with our sweet girl. We cooked and just hung out at home. We are so glad to have our Daddy home full time now. We are cooking/grilling at night, hanging out with friends, and going on walks. It is beautiful weather and Georgia Kate is getting to be so much fun!

Robert and I took Georgia Kate to the ENT on last Monday and left with an appointment to have our adenoids out and tubes put in. We will be doing that on Thursday morning. I hope all goes well and we will be in and out in no time. Please keep my precious girl in your prayers on Thursday morning. I know she will do great!

Dancing on the Drive

We went to Dancing on the Drive this past weekend. Georgia Kate had the best time and it was nice to have some down time with our Daddy. Robert has been traveling ALOT over the last three months. He has been leaving on Mondays and coming home on late Thursday or Friday. I must say that I have a new respect for single moms. I love my child more than anything in the world, but it was time for Daddy to come home!

My family took a short weekend trip to the beach on Easter Weekend. We started this tradition several years ago when I was in college and worked a christian sports camp. I always missed out on our annual "Pearce Beach Party". So my family would go to the beach on Easter weekend as well. We haven't gone every year, but when we do go it is always such nice weather and we have the best time. We enjoy our family and LOVE being together. We had a blast this year and it was GREAT to see the kids enjoy being with each other. I love my family so much!

A couple of months ago I was browsing online and looking for 2nd birthday ideas and I came across a "tutu" birthday party. I thought that was the cutest idea and couldn't wait to start planning Georgia Kate's 2nd birthday party. I always like to start early because I knew my color scheme and picked up so many great decorations along the way. I also caught a lot of good sales on party supplies! As you can tell our color scheme was pink and orange and of course everyone had tutus and the boys even had ties!

I made this ribbon topiary and loved it! I thought it added so much to the table where our sweet friends would sign GK's birthday book.

Karah made this adorbale banner for Georgia Kate. She did such a good job and it added so much to the party decorations!

My mother in law made tuts for all the girls and ties for all the boys. Everyone looked so cute with their party attire on!

My beautiful Mom with the best balloons in the world. If you live in the Orlando area Ballons-N-More is a great resource for party balloons. I used Patti last year for Georgia Kate's birthday party and couldn't wait to see them again this year. I LOVE the squiggles!

This is the center pieces for all the tables. I got the cute party sticks from Sweet Birdies Nest on etsy. Erin gave me their info and they did a great job designing just what I wanted to GK's party.

Our potted plants even matched the color scheme!

A friend of mine made the cake and it turned out adorable! My cousin painted the picture for Georgia Kate and it was a perfect addition for cake table!

23 Months Old

Georiga Kate...you are the light in our life. We are so in love with you and love to see how you change each day. You are getting so big and you LOVE to do everything on your own. You always tell us "me do it".

You also can repeat almost anything we say. I thought you would never talk and you are now busy talking all the time. We have had so much fun with you and look forward to all the fun times ahead!

Always remember that Mommy and Daddy love. You also have so many other people that love you too, but most of all Jesus loves you.

Georgia Kate's First Birthday Party

I have never linked up to Kelly's SUYL Friday series, but I love to plan a party so I thought I would particpate this weekend!

I had so much planning Georgia Kate's first birthday and I am in the process of planning her second birthday. We did a pink and green cupcake theme for #1 and we are planning a pink and orange "tutu" theme for #2. I can't wait to share all the pictures from that one, but for now here are the pics from our first birthday party.

We had the party at my inlaws house. It was a beautiful day outside and it was nice to hang out around the pool and celebrate our precious little angel.

I have to admit that we did have the Margarita Machine at our child's first birthday!

We gave polka dot syrofoam cups for party favors! The kids got playdough and a cupcake cookie cutter. I don't have a picture of those. The reason we did the cups is because not a lot of my friends have children and we thought it would be nice to have something for the grownups!

Gogo got her a Bitty Baby from American Girl. She loved it and still loves it. Her and Gogo named her Holly and Georgia Kate walks around the house saying "Hottie". We have an Aunt Holly that will be glad to know that she can say her name!

Louisiana Christmas Part Two

Ok...so I am warning you! This is a major picture overload, but I do this blog so I will remember the special times with my family. I may not always do it in timely manner, but it eventually gets done! I do hope that one day I will be so much better at this blog thing. I guess it takes time to get in the routine of thing! So...here goes a recap of our Christmas Eve with the Pearce Family.

Every Christmas Eve from the time that I was born until now has been spent with my mom's side of the family. I have only missed one year of the Christmas Eve tradition and I have to say that it was one of the hardest Christmas' I have had yet. I am sure that the time will come for us to stay home and start our own traditions as the "Stuart" family, but I will always remember and treasure these specials times with the Pearce's! I am extremely close to all sides of my family and love all of them! I am so lucky to be surrounded by so many people that LOVE me and my sweet husband and daughter. So cheers to the Pearces, Garbarinos, Kilpatricks, and Stuarts! I am one lucky girl!

Ok so my mom and I went shopping one day while Georgia Kate was taking and nap and we left Daddy in charge! This is what I came home too! I couldn't help but laugh. He didn't think that GK needed any pants or dress on. It was quite chilly outside so he did have properly dressed with her fleece, but the tights with nothing else cracked me up!

Enjoying her new ride! Gogo had this at her house when we go there. Georgia Kate loved it and rides it all the time. She has become a pro at driving her new vehicle.

Gogo got GK a pillow pet. I knew GK would love the pillow pet, but didn't know that she wouldn't want to put it down. We named her sweet dog Daisey! She loves it and I have to take it out of her bed every night before we go to sleep because she refuses to go to sleep without it.

My sweet brother and his precious wife Sarah. She around 37 weeks pregnant in this picture. I wish that Baby Reeves would have joined us while we were home for Christmas, but he came just a few weeks after this and is the most precious, perfect baby. I will post pictures soon.

Georgia Kate loved this little roudolph stuffed animal that was at my aunt's house. She kept going up to it and giving it eskimo kisses!

This makes me smile...I loved being able to give my sweet baby girl gifts this year. Looking at the card makes it so real that we have a child that is ours that we will love forever and ever.

When I was a little girl my mom used to give me and my brothers new pajamas and a stuffed animal for Christmas. This was one my favorite traditios that our family has. So...I started this year with Georgia Kate. She got a new pair of Kelly's Kids pj's and a cute pink "jellycat" pig. I love Jelly Cats. If you haven't ever seen them you need to look them up! They are fabulous!

Georgia Kate loves when Ddan gives her all of his attention. We were playing a game and Ddan was in charge of keeping GK happy. He even bathed her for us and let her play in the bathtub forever! She loved being with him.

A Louisiana Christmas...Part One

We traveled to Ruston this year for Christmas and had so much fun being with my family during the holidays. We left the Saturday before Christmas so we got to spend a whole week in Ruston visiting friends and family. We had the best time just hanging out with the people we love. Georgia Kate was a great traveler and she even did really well while we were away from home. Gogo enjoyed her specials morning "toon" time with Georgia Kate while she drank her coffee and Georgia Kate even got to open an occasional gift or two. I must say that Georgia Kate hated to come back to reality!

This is Georgia Kate's new thing...she likes to make her "surprised" face!

Georgia Kate loves her Aunt Sarah. We are waiting so patiently for baby Kilpatrick to arrive. We don't know what it is yet, but we will find out soon. Sarah is going in on Thursday for an induction. I know she and Ryan will be great parents. I can't wait to be an aunt again!

Elfkin cam all the way to Ruston to watch Georgia Kate. She was so surprised to see the same elf at Gogo's house. He even brought her some beignets one morning!

Georgia Kate is opening up one of her favorite Christmas gifts this year. Gogo got her the Melissa and Doug cupcakes. She loved them and they are such a good toy for kids to play with. She also got the donuts from my aunt Missy and then the pizza from my Aunt Sherri. She loves playing with all of them. My sister in law got her the donuts too, but we exchanged them for some more Melissa and Doug toys. Melissa and Doug toys were the hit at our house this Christmas

Georgia Kate is 21 Months!

Georgia Kate...you are 21 Months Old today. I have never done a post like this for you, but you are changing so much and I thought that it would be fun to document all your changes and how much fun you are these days! You are so much fun to be around and I just love your personality. I have to say that I have loved you at every age, but this is my favorite. If I could make you stop growing right now I would!

I was worried because I didn't think you were ever going to talk, but you have really started talking and using your words. You definitely understand EVERYTHING we are saying to you. Some of your sweet words are "dada", "pink", "go", "pease" (please), and a few more that I can't remember off the top of my head. You are going to be a smart little girl!

It is so nice that you LOVE school now. You jump out of the car and head right in without looking back. It is kinda sad because you don't even mind leaving mommy and daddy, but it is nice because you are so happy going to school playing with your friends. You are learning so much there and your teacher has even started working on potty training with you. She thinks you are ready because you take her a new diaper every time you have a wet diaper. On the days that you don't go to school you get to play with Annie. She loves you and you love her. I am so lucky that we have such a great place for you stay while Mommy is at work. Y'all play play play! I am so happy that you love where you go during the week while we are at work. It is hard to leave you sometimes, but I know that you are in good hands.

I love you so much and can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for your me and your Daddy. He has created a beautiful little girl that is growing up so fast and I can't wait to see what wonderful things you will do one day. I love that you are getting bigger and growing up, but I sometimes wish I could make you stop for a little bit.

Beignets and Elfkin

We have had such a fun time in Ruston with Gogo and all of our other family. Georgia Kate has been such a sweet girl and has really been the perfect angel. Yesterday morning Daddy and Georgia Kate went and got beignets from Crescent City Coffee shop in Ruston. Georgia Kate LOVED them! She ate 4 or 5 of these! When she woke up Elfkin, our Elf on a shelf was sitting on the box ready for Georgia Kate to see her! Hope you are all enjoying your time with friends and family during this holiday season. Tinkerbell and Christmas Trees!

I am so far behind on blogging so I thought I better catch up before Christmas day rolled around. Our sweet little girl is really into Tinkerbell these days! She LOVES her!!!! I am not really sure why she has become her new infatuation, but she definitely is her new best friend. We figured this out one night when a Disney commercial came on and Tinkerbell went flying across the TV Georgia Kate went crazy!!!!!! She left the room and went straight to her playroom. Robert and I looked at each other asking "what in the world?" She came back with her little plastic Tinkerbell figurine. Ever since then Georgia Kate LOVES all things Tinkerbell. So...we get an ornament for her each year and this year she picked out a Tinkerbell ornament. It is actually really cute when she runs to the tree to show everyone that graces our doors HER ornament.
She also loves our Christmas tree. She runs into the room every morning to turn the lights on and as soon as we get home in the afternoon she runs straight to the tree and turns the lights on. We have this cool little button she can push and poof they come on. I couldn't pass up this sweet picture of her holding up her ornament! Doesn't she look precious!

Halloween Party at School

Georgia Kate's little school does a cute little parade at Halloween and then has parties in their classrooms. I was in charge of the party for her class so I took the day off to be a "mommy". I always say that I am not quiet ready to be a "stay at home" mom, but I do want to take the time off so I don't miss out on her fun things that she gets to do. So...Gogo was in town and I decided that I would volunteer at her school that morning and then be there for the parade. It was LOTS of fun!

We had little pumpkins for the kids to decorate and one of the dad's brought pumpkin cookies with icing and sprinkles. Georgia Kate LOVED it and had so much fun doing these little activities. I really didn't think that she would take the time to decorate her cookie or pumpkin, but she did great! We had a really good time and I was so glad that I took the time off work and most of all I was glad that Gogo got to see her at school.

Pumpkin Patch Fun!

We took Georgia Kate to the pumpkin patch this fall and we had so much fun with her. Obviously last year she didn't really know what was going on and she just kinda sat there, but this year she was all over the place. She ran from pumpkin to pumpkin and had the best time ever. Robert's parents joined us for the fun and they really enjoyed watching Georgia Kate play. She is getting so big and really had the cutest personality!

18 Months Old

Sweet Home Ruston, Louisiana!

Robert, Georgia Kate, and I packed up and headed to Ruston a couple of weeks ago. We had so much fun and enjoyed seeing all kinds of friends and family. I was headed home for my 10 year reunion, which was nothing like I thought it would be, but it was fun to see old friends. I never thought I would say this, but I love my life in Orlando. I did enjoy seeing friends, but I must admit it was great seeing my family. I hadn't seen my grandmothers since I was in town last March for my Grandfather's funeral. It was good to just hang out and spend time with the people I love. There are lots of pictures! I am so sorry, but I have been so bad about blogging. Hope you enjoy the pics and the glimpse into my sweet family! I think they are pretty close to perfect!

It was a great Saturday in our household last weekend as I am sure that is the case for most of you good southerners that love fall and LOVE football. We had been looking forward to last Saturday for weeks. We had the best time last weekend watching games and just hanging out.

Even though the gators really didn't show up and play their best we still enjoyed dressing in our orange and blue and getting ready for gameday. We started out our morning with a little College Gameday and then moved on to the Florida game and ended with watching the good ole tigers play. It was a great day and we enjoyed ourselves...so did Georgia Kate. Look how cute my little gator girl is.

Georgia Kate started preschool this past week. We were so nervous about how she would adjust since she screams every time we leave her. She did GREAT and we were so proud of our little angel. A Back to School Get Away

We went to the JW Marriott in Orlando for a little get away before school started back. We were looking for something fun to do and it is sooooo hot here that the zoo, Disney, or Sea World didn't sound like very much fun. We kept thinking about the beach or the pool. So we decided to go to the Marriott and hang out for the evening and then stayed through lunch the next day. We had a blast with Georgia Kate. We got there on Thursday and Robert had to go to a meeting, so GK and I headed to the pool. It has a lazy river so we floated and played and played some more. We had so much fun.

Then we got cleaned up and headed to dinner. Georgia Kate was so much fun. She just hung out and was such a BIG girl. It was lots of fun to just be out of the everyday rush and enjoying time with her.

On Friday morning we got up and had breakfast and then headed back to the pool. The JW is next door to the Ritz so we could use their pool area. They had a great kids area so we went over there for a little bit and let GK run around in the fountains. She loved it and so did we. SO MUCH FUN!!!

I have not been great about blogging all summer, but we were so busy and Georgia Kate was on the move. Definitely different than last summer. We were so lucky to have a visit from Uncle Ryan and Aunt Sarah. We have been dying for them to come to Orlando to visit us and they decided to come this summer. We had the best time and Georgia Kate LOVED having her sweet aunt and uncle here to play with her.

Ok...so I am a terrible blogger. I sit down every night to finally post something on my blog and then I get carried away with every other blog that I am exhausted by the time I get to mine and nothing gets posted! So I am making a commitment to blog a little bit more. My main reason for blogging is to keep my family and friends that live far away from us updated on what is going on in our lives here in sunny Orlando, FL. I hate that my sweet mother, Georgia Kate's Gogo doesn't get to see her precious face every day so I try to post it on here every once in a while for her to see her in action. Well, my mother has been here for a month and we have had the time our lives. We have gone to the beach for the annual Pearce Beach Party. Uncle Ryan and Aunt Sarah came and spent several days with us and we have done all sorts of fun things around Orlando. Gogo leaves tomorrow and we are so sad, but I guess we have to get back to normal and start getting ready for school and wrap up our summer.

So...here are some pics from the last part of our vacation to Destin, FL. We had the best time with all of our aunts and cousins. Yes...we do have on matching t-shirts on in some of these pictures. Family Vacation Part One

We just got back from Destin, FL. We went to the beach for a week with my mom and her family. We had the best time hanging out and just being with each other. We stayed in a house this year and it was great. The oil situation allowed us to get a great deal on the house so we decided it would be fun to be together. I have to say that I was really nervous about GK and her hating the beach, but she LOVED it! She thought it was the best thing ever and was outside the entire time she was awake. She loved the water and the sand! That's my girl! I will be posting more pictures! We took a ton.

I am officially out of school for the summer. I thought that I would have alot more time to catch up on blogging, but this week has been a crazy busy week. We have been swimming, shopping, and hanging out at the park. It has been a lot of fun to be able to stay home with my little girl. She is so girly and I am loving every second of it.

Ok...so the big news is we sold our condo and are moving into Robert's parents rental property. We are so excited to be in a home with a yard and lots of space! We have been busy packing and moving and getting things ready! Robert's parents had to repaint the house and they let ME pick out all the colors. It was kinda fun! I think that the color choices look great. It is a fun older home that will be fun to fix up. I will post pics as soon as we get them!

Robert's friend Jimmy made Georgia Kate this precious pink rocking horse. He came to our house last week to bring it to GK and she was already asleep. I debated on rather of not we should wake her up and we decided to. I was a little nervous as to how she would react because she was definitely in a deep sleep. She LOVED the horse and put on a show for us. Thank you Jimmy for being so sweet. We love the horse and I am sure there is lots of fun to be had over the next several years.

One of the perks to living in Orlando is that we get to go to Disney World. Growing up as a kid I LOVED Disney World. When I was dating Robert we went every time I came in town. I just love Disney all the fun that is to be had there. I have always dreamed of taking my kids there one day and who would have known that this is where I would live. Well...GK is finally old enough to not be miserable at the parks and we can manage to stay there for longer than a couple of hours. We go for a few hours and do a couple of different things then we get in the car and come home. Georgia Kate always enjoys herself and loves to go back. This time we went to the Magic Kingdom with Robert's parents. Robert was actually playing in a golf tournament that at Disney so Stubaby and Granmarie met us at the park. We took GK to a breakfast before we headed to the parks.

This is our favorite place to take Georgia Kate to take pictures. It is Loch Haven Park. It is not far from College Park and it is just a great place for GK to run around in hopes that we can get some good pictures of her. There is the big tree that has branches that are really low to the ground and I am sure that one day we will have adorable pictures of her climbing all over them. We were trying to get some good shots to use for Mother's Day gifts. Needless to say we didn't get ANY good shots and had to resort back to some previous pictures we had taken. We had a good time trying to get the pictures and I am sure it will be a while until we get a "great" photo of GK. We will have motion shots for a while I am afraid!

Epcot~ Flower and Garden Festival

Last weekend Robert and I took Georgia Kate to the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival. We had a blast and Georgia Kate really enjoyed herself. When we go to Disney these days we go with the attitude that we are on Georgia Kate's schedule. So, with that said we stop when she wants to stop and we play when she wants to play. This past time we went to Epcot and saw all the fabulous flowers. It is my favorite time of the year to go to Disney. This year they had several kiddie playgrounds that were fabulous. She had so much fun and played and played and played.

Ok...so GK LOVES playing outside. I really like it to because she will play and play and never gets tired of it. I can't wait for the summertime. We are going to have a blast at the pool and the park with snocones or icees! Oh....so much fun to be had.

Today GK had on an outfit that I adore. My sweet cousin Casey gave it to her for her first birthday. It is so precious on her and we think of our beautiful, sweet Addison when we put it on her. We went to Robert's cousins softball game this afternoon and Georgia Kate had a blast. She was best friends with everyone there by the end of the game and pitched a fit when we had to leave. She played and played with all the other kids that were there. She kept stealing the bag of goldfish from one of the little boys and I think that he really didn't like her. GK started her day off pretty nice and neat and looked like a doll. As you can tell through the picctures she got a little dirty. I love it though...she had fun, I had fun, and then we got to play in the bathtub when we got home. Cheers to a good day in Otown.

Georgia Kate is getting to be so much fun! I LOVE her so much and hate it when she goes to bed at night I get kinda sad. We really have a good time in the afternoons when I get home from school. Here are few pics from the other day when she was an absolute doll. She plays so hard during the day that when it is bed time she walks to her bed and reaches for me to put her in. What a dream come true! We have come full circle from this time last year. Robert and I were pretty sure we would NEVER have another one! I think she has kinda changed our minds now!

I NEVER knew that the spring and summer could be so much fun with a little one. Robert and I have had the best time with Georgia Kate over the past several weekends. We pondered over what we should do for GK for her birthday realizing that she really didn't know what we were doing or why, but we still wanted to make it very special for her. She will see pictures one day! So...we decided that we would give her a water table and a slide. I have to say she LOVES both of them very much. Our sweet Aunt Piper, Uncle Daniel, Cooper, and Campbell gave us the pink and purple Cozy Coupe and I have to say this might be her favorite. I recommend it for any new walker. She LOVES it!!!! She also got a wagon. She loves to ride in it too! All of her outside toys have been a hit and we can't keep her in the house. She also had the chance to splish and splash in the pool this weekend. Ok...so here is the big birthday party! These were a few of my favorite pics of all the decorations and preparing for the big party! Ok...well I have to admit that I have been planning GK's first birthday for a long time now. I have always dreamed of doing the best birthdays ever for my kids because my mom always tried to make ours so special. Well...I didn't want GK to miss out on anything, so I think she had the best birthday EVER! I know she won't know what we did and how much time we put into the party, but I will and I am so happy with the way the party turned out! If you came...thanks for coming and making this day so special for GK. I know that one day she will look at pictures and smile because so many people cared about her. I can't believe my baby Georgia Kate is already one. I am a little behind on this post, but better late than never...right? I have been waiting for this day for a while now. I LOVE birthdays and hope that I can pass on all the fun traditions that my mom did for me. My mom always made sure that a birthday was special and for that matter still does the same today. We always had the perfect outfit to wear on your big day, We always started our day with our breakfast of choice that usually had a candle in it, and as we got older we were even greeted with a balloon in the toilet! I know it sounds crazy, but my mom loved birthdays and has passed that on to me.

So...I was totally prepared to make this day the best day ever for Georgia Kate. She was woken up with me singing "Happy Birthday", which I am sure made her want to go right back to sleep. The we got dressed in our precious Birthday Girl tshirt. Of course I snapped a few pics of the birthday girl on her big day. Before we went to Annie's house we stopped at Dunkin Donuts for a pink, strawberry donut. GK wasn't a huge fan of the donut, but she ate half of it and then shared the rest with Annie. What a sweet thing for the birthday girl to do.

After I picked up GK from school we had to head to the doctor for our 12 month visit. I know I am a mean mom! OH well...we got it over with and moved on. I was glad that I did it when I did because Robert was out of town and we weren't doing anything major anyway! After the doctor we went to Target to pick out a new toy. She picked out a purse with all the fun stuff in it. Well...I guess mommy picked it out. GK loves it though!

Then we headed over to Granmarie's house and yes on the way GK started THROWING UP! IT was horrible. I was so sad for her I wanted to cry, but I kept it together and we got to Granmarie's house cleaned up and then got ready for another one. So we did this on and off all night. Finally we went to sleep and slept through the night. Poor baby was so sick. It took her a good 24 hours to get over it.

So...despite the tummy bug we had a blast on first birthday! More pics of the party to come soon.

She has been trying for a while now to walk, but this past week she finally decided that she could do it. She has been walking EVERYWHERE!!!!! I am afraid my life is going to be totally different now. Robert was out of town and was amazed when he got back how good she was at walking. We always have to be on our toes now and following her every move! I think its going to be fun!

Last weekend we were in Target and Robert started playing with this BIG PINK BALL and Georgia Kate LOVED it! Of course we bought it for her and she and Daddy had the best time once we got home. A Day at the Park!

We went to the park the other day with Georgia Kate. I didn't think that she was old enough to really enjoy it, but she had a BLAST. Robert got off work early and met us there to play. It was a nice surprise to have Daddy at the park too. Georgia Kate loved swinging, walking on all the equipment, and her favorite thing was the slide. She slide down and then try to climb up it. The teacher in me wanted to say "down the slide, not up it!", but I guess I will save that for her kindergarten teacher to tell her one day. Let's let her have fun while she can! Soon enough people will be correcting her.

Georgia Kate had a really good First Valentine's Day. Daddy was gone most of the day, but he sure was excited to see his girl when he got home. Robert and I joined Summit Church about a month ago and soon after we got Georgia Kate dedicated to the church. We have been visiting different churches since we got married and never really found one that we both liked. It was either too big or too small or not like what we were used to. I do have to say that Robert and I are grateful for our parents that raised us in the church and taught us to love Jesus. We are two VERY lucky kiddos! We actually met working a christian sports camp together. God is good all the time. OK...back to the subject at hand! We finally joined Summit and we LOVE it! It is a great place for us to worship together. Here is a picture of our pastor Issac talking to and praying over our precious Georgia Kate.

10 Months Old

Georgia Kate is 10 months old already! The first birthday is right around the corner. She is getting so big and changing so much. She is trying to walk and can stand alone for a while. She has 4 bottom teeth and 2 top teeth almost all the way in. She loves to give high fives and do patty cake. She crinkles her nose when she laughs and has the cutest laugh I have ever heard. We now have skype to keep in touch with our family in Ruston and Georgia Kate LOVES it. She knows exactly what is going to happen. She goes crazy until we get someone on the computer. I love this little girl more than I ever though possible. She is just precious!

Our Unexpected Trip to Ruston

Georgia Kate and I had to travel to Ruston a couple of weeks ago for an unexpected visit. My grandmother called me at the beginning of January to tell me that my Papaw had a brain tumor and that he was going to have to get it removed. Initially I wasn't too concerned and didn't really face the facts that we were dealing with the monster of cancer. Well...a couple of days later we received more information and it was pretty serious. So...I decided to fly to Ruston with Georgia Kate and spend some time with my family. It was hard to get it all together, but I am sooooo thankful that I decided to go. We had the best time and I got to spend some quality much needed time with my Papaw! He is such a special man and I am so thankful for him. He came through the surgery ok and after some chemo and radiation things should be ok for a while. Please pray for him. In the meantime...check out these precious pictures of Georgia Kate with her family in Ruston!

We had the best New Year's Eve and New Year's Day this year. We went to Tap Room (My favorite restaurant in Orlando) for dinner with my parents and Robert's parents. We went early and took Georgia Kate and she did great. We had enough people to take her outside and walk around if we needed to. She had her normal grilled cheese and green beans and then she played and had lots of outside walks for the rest of dinner. Gogo took her outside to watch fireworks and she loved them. She kept watching them and couldn't figure out where they were coming from. It was really cute! On New Year's Day my brother, Danny, Robert, and Shane went to the Capitol One bowl. LSU was playing Penn State so they enjoyed being here for that. The last few pictures are sweet Georgia Kate that morning before all the boys left!

Ok...so before you get started I want to warn you that this is a REALLY long post with picture overload! I have been trying to catch up on blogging and I think that I am almost caught up. I am headed to Ruston next weekend and my goal is to be all caught up before I leave! I still have to document Christmas with the my parents and Georgia Kate's baby dedication. I was going to skip and go straight to the dedication, but I do this blog to keep out of town friends and family informed, but also to have something for Georgia Kate to look back on one day and see all that she did! With that said...enjoy these pictures and I hope that it gives you an update on the wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day we had!

This is my beautiful Christmas Tree! I really liked it this year and never got around to posting Christmas decorations...so here is the tree!

THE Bell...

Robert's Family has this really cool tradition...every year Robert got a silver Wallace bell from his grandmother. When his grandmother quit giving them the bells every Christmas his mom and dad continued with the tradition. I love getting our silver bell every year. But what I think is really cool is that they continued the tradition with Georgia Kate this year. Here are two pictures from them giving her the bell. The couple of the year! My brother got married the weekend after Thanksgiving and we had the privilege of being at their wedding. He married Sarah Grigsby...now Sarah Kilpatrick. Our Santa Visit

I have had so much fun this holiday season. I have been so busy that I haven't had time to blog about it. I have waited for this day for so long...to celebrate and share my Christmas traditions with my sweet baby. I have been so excited about all the Christmas traditions and excitement that I get to pass down to Georgia Kate. As a little girl my mom always did such a good job to make Christmas such a special time of the year. I feel like she did so good with teaching us the true meaning of Christmas. She also created so many fun things for our family to do during this special time of the year. One thing that we always did was go visit Santa Claus int he mall. Well...I am one lucky girl that gets to go to Downtown Disney and visit their Santa. Robert was out of town and as you can imagine...Santa at Disney on the weekend creates a disaster. So...GK and I treked out to Downtown Disney to get some pictures. Annie and her family joined us and we had a great time with Santa, a little bit of browsing, and we ended our night with a chocolate shake from the Ghiradelli. YUM! This isn't a great picture, but the professional ones I got are precious.

Thanksgiving in Camelot...I mean Ruston!

We spent the Thanksgiving Holiday in Ruston this year. My sweet brother Ryan calls Ruston Camelot. I like to refer to it as that as well. I love Ruston and miss it terribly. I love my life and my family and friends in Orlando, but I would head back to Ruston in a flash. I just love my family more than you know. But I do have to say...I have a GREAT family here. They are way better to me than I deserve! Thanks to the Stuart's!

We had a pretty laid back Thanksgiving. Georgia Kate and I flew to Ruston on Monday morning and Robert drove on Wednesday. We hung out at home and just relaxed with family. We did get to hang out with my little brother Ross.(Who is not so little anymore). He was home from LSU (Geaux Tigers!) and it was so nice to hang out with him. We also got to see my grandmother who I love so much. It makes me sad to see her age, but that is how God designed for life to be. She loves Georgia Kate and I am so gald that she has gotten to see her. What an amazing woman of God I have gotten to see as a roll model. I also got to visit with my mom and Danny (2 of the best grandparents in the world). GOSH...I love my mom! She is amazing and the strogest woman I met! Thanks mom!

The reason that we traveled this year for Thanksgivng is because my brother got married the Saturday after Thanksgiving. My brother and his wife from San Antonio were in town and it was great to spend some time with them and their children. I love those kids so much! Being an aunt is the best job in the world...especially when you have Campbell and Cooper as your neice and nephew. I am doing a post with some pics of them...you will see those soon! Sorry for so many pictures, but I couldn't pick just a few!

We had professional photos taken a couple of weekends ago. Robert and I had the best time with Georgia Kate and the photographers were AWESOME! If you live in the Orlando area they are Pennington Photography based out of Jacksonville. Mark Pennington is the photographer and he did a fantastic job...and of course he couldn't have done it without Joi. She made all of us smile! Thanks for a great session. Robert's cousin John Charles got married to his beautiful bride April last Saturday and we took Georgia Kate to her first wedding. She was so good! We went to Billy and Ashley's house the other night for dinner. We couldn't find a sitter for Georgia Kate so we decided to take her with us. She was very close to perfect. She and Luke played together for a while. Luke was so cute and he would just say her name and she would just stare at him. They were really cute together. Maybe we see a couple in the future. That would be ok with me! Luke has great parents and we would love for GK to be his little girlfriend!

Our Evening Routine...So Much Fun!

We start our "getting ready for bed" routine around 6:00 every night. We keep it pretty much the same! Georgia Kate gets to eat a fun little melt away cookie while I get her dinner ready . We are eating all kinds of food for dinner. Green Beans, Sweet Potatoes, and Carrots are just a few of our favorites! She is also eating apple rice cereal at every meal too in hopes that we gain a little bit of weight. She still has a hard time keeping it all down, but she is a WHOLE lot better. After dinner we are usually a mess...

So we head straight to the bath! We are still taking our bath in our little pink plastic tub that fits in the sink. We tried the big bathtub and I don't think that she was quite ready for that. She feels safe and secure in her little tub for now. She LOVES bath time!
She is getting to where she loves to play and spit bubbles and just be silly in the bath. I love that she is such a happy baby in the bathtub. I told Robert that we will probably be spending lots of time on our knees in the bathroom. I am sure that we will have to put a timer in there so she doesn't turn into a prune.

Then after bath time we get to play some more! I love this time of the night because it wipes away all the fussy time we had before now! She seems to be so happy after her bath and she is just so darn cute in her pajamas! I love pajamas!!!! She is crawling into our bedroom and I am sure that she was headed for trouble. We are having to watch every move she makes these days!

Happy 7 Months Georgia Kate! We love you and you have totally blessed our lives since you were born! We are so proud to be your Mommy and Daddy and can't believe that you are already 7 months old. Your smile brings joy to our hearts and your laugh is contagious! Daddy and I just start laughing when we here your precious laugh. We never dreamed that you would be this much fun.

You are crawling nonstop now!

You are eating all kinds of babyfood and even eating a few things like peas, green beans, and mashed potatoes. You love to eat the "real" stuff. You still aren't a big fan of your formula bottles and I think you tolerate the babyfood because you know that mommy and daddy really want you to be a good eater.

You are crawling all over the house and pulling up on EVERYTHING. You pull up in your bed and when we come in your room after a nap or in the mornings we see your big smile.

You are starting to like the car a little bit better. We moved you to the big girl carseat!

You know that when Mommy gets the camera out you are supposed to smile.

You laugh a lot and it makes me so happy.

You are playing with all sorts of toys and can entertain yourself for a while on the floor.

You still love your exersaucer and you even like you cool new jumper.

We got you an umbrella stroller and you like that too.

You are growing up too fast!

Ok...so I went a little overboard! I took a ton of pictures at the pumpkin patch because I was so excited to be there! I have always dreamed of the day that I would be able to take my little boy or girl to the pumpkin patch, pick out a Christmas tree, and on an Easter egg hunt. I love the holidays and I am so glad that I have a precious little girl to start sharing all these fun times with! Georgia Kate had so much fun with all the pumpkins!
