She's A Mess

Ok...so GK LOVES playing outside. I really like it to because she will play and play and never gets tired of it. I can't wait for the summertime. We are going to have a blast at the pool and the park with snocones or icees! Oh....so much fun to be had.
Today GK had on an outfit that I adore. My sweet cousin Casey gave it to her for her first birthday. It is so precious on her and we think of our beautiful, sweet Addison when we put it on her. We went to Robert's cousins softball game this afternoon and Georgia Kate had a blast. She was best friends with everyone there by the end of the game and pitched a fit when we had to leave. She played and played with all the other kids that were there. She kept stealing the bag of goldfish from one of the little boys and I think that he really didn't like her. GK started her day off pretty nice and neat and looked like a doll. As you can tell through the picctures she got a little dirty. I love it though...she had fun, I had fun, and then we got to play in the bathtub when we got home. Cheers to a good day in Otown.

Life is Good!

Georgia Kate is getting to be so much fun! I LOVE her so much and hate it when she goes to bed at night I get kinda sad. We really have a good time in the afternoons when I get home from school. Here are few pics from the other day when she was an absolute doll. She plays so hard during the day that when it is bed time she walks to her bed and reaches for me to put her in. What a dream come true! We have come full circle from this time last year. Robert and I were pretty sure we would NEVER have another one! I think she has kinda changed our minds now!
She is a mess...but she sure is a cute mess!

Playing with her stuffed bunny she got in her Easter basket and her color wonder markers that she loves! She loves to color on the "magic" paper and see the colors pop up! Oh the little things that entertain them!

Summer Time is Coming...and We Can't Wait!!!!!

I NEVER knew that the spring and summer could be so much fun with a little one. Robert and I have had the best time with Georgia Kate over the past several weekends. We pondered over what we should do for GK for her birthday realizing that she really didn't know what we were doing or why, but we still wanted to make it very special for her. She will see pictures one day! So...we decided that we would give her a water table and a slide. I have to say she LOVES both of them very much. Our sweet Aunt Piper, Uncle Daniel, Cooper, and Campbell gave us the pink and purple Cozy Coupe and I have to say this might be her favorite. I recommend it for any new walker. She LOVES it!!!! She also got a wagon. She loves to ride in it too! All of her outside toys have been a hit and we can't keep her in the house. She also had the chance to splish and splash in the pool this weekend. She had the best time ever this weekend! Hope you enjoy the pics!

A Few of my Favorite Things From GK's First Birthday Party!

Ok...so here is the big birthday party! These were a few of my favorite pics of all the decorations and preparing for the big party! I couldn't have done the party without all the help from my precious friends and family. Thanks to everyone who helped out and made it a special day for me and Georgia Kate!

These are two paintings that my father in law drew and my cousin painted. I thought they added an extra touch to the party!

I loved these balloons. The green wasn't the "perfect" color, but they were super cute!

I LOVE Styrofoam cups and had to have special ones for GK's first birthday.

And of course the napkins to match!

This was the main focus of the party! It was actually my favorite part. I love the poms!

Like I mentioned earlier, I love Styrofoam cups...so for the adults at the party we gave away cups! I had more adults than kids there. I actually didn't have a cute pic of the kids favor, but it was pretty cute. I gave a cupcake cookie cutter and a container of play dough!
The CAKE! I LOVED IT!!!!

Yea for poms I ordered off ETSY

The perfect cookies from none other than "Cookie Cousins".

The banner I made with my cricut!

I loved this party too...I did a picture from every month of GK's life. I put them in cute little green and pink tin cans that I found in the dollar section at Target!

The centerpieces for the tables

The smash cake!

This might be my favorite idea. I got the table cloth idea from a picture I had seen and then I decided to add the cupcake and the year. I plan on doing that around the bottom of the table cloth for all her birthdays. I will put the year and the theme of the party! Won't she love this when she gets older? I hope she does at least!

Happy Birthday Dear Georgia Kate

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Georgia Kate, Happy Birthday to you!

Ok...well I have to admit that I have been planning GK's first birthday for a long time now. I have always dreamed of doing the best birthdays ever for my kids because my mom always tried to make ours so special. Well...I didn't want GK to miss out on anything, so I think she had the best birthday EVER! I know she won't know what we did and how much time we put into the party, but I will and I am so happy with the way the party turned out! If you came...thanks for coming and making this day so special for GK. I know that one day she will look at pictures and smile because so many people cared about her. Hope you enjoy some of the highlights of the party!
Megan came to Orlando on Thursday and we had so much fun planning and preparing for the party!
The birthday girl...she had just woken up from her nap and was ready to go!

Trying to pull the cup out of her hand so she could smash her cake!

At this point she isn't too happy with her daddy for taking that cup away!

After we got GK out of her seat she got into it a little bit more.

It's my party and I will cry if I want to! GK wasn't a happy camper after her cake smashing time!

Playing at the water table with her friend Jackson. They were so cute together!

She loves her Gogo!!!!!

Robert's sweet college friends came to the party from Jacksonville. They actually came on Friday and spent the evening and then whole next day with us. We had so much fun hanging out with them and visiting with them. It had been a while since we had seen them.

Our friend Justin and Lindsay and their darland little girl Leighton. They are with Lauren our other good friend. Love my friends!

John, Helen, and David...great friends!

The birthday girl taking a lunch break!

Playing with her popper that Gigi gave her! She loves the popper...not so sure Mommy loves the popper!!!!

The precious pink and purple cozy coupe that Aunt Piper, Uncle Daniel, Campbell, and Cooper gave GK for her birthday. They were so sweet to have this adorable car shipped to GK. She is a lucky girl to have so many people that love her.

My sweet, beautiful, helpful, loving, mom! I love this woman more than anything in the world. She was here for a week and we had so much fun together! We got to plan and prepare all week. Lots for trips to Target, Joann's, and Walmart! We had a great time getting it all together and I couldn't' have done it without her!

Her new wagon she got for her birthday!

My little baby is ONE!

I can't believe my baby Georgia Kate is already one. I am a little behind on this post, but better late than never...right? I have been waiting for this day for a while now. I LOVE birthdays and hope that I can pass on all the fun traditions that my mom did for me. My mom always made sure that a birthday was special and for that matter still does the same today. We always had the perfect outfit to wear on your big day, We always started our day with our breakfast of choice that usually had a candle in it, and as we got older we were even greeted with a balloon in the toilet! I know it sounds crazy, but my mom loved birthdays and has passed that on to me.

So...I was totally prepared to make this day the best day ever for Georgia Kate. She was woken up with me singing "Happy Birthday", which I am sure made her want to go right back to sleep. The we got dressed in our precious Birthday Girl tshirt. Of course I snapped a few pics of the birthday girl on her big day. Before we went to Annie's house we stopped at Dunkin Donuts for a pink, strawberry donut. GK wasn't a huge fan of the donut, but she ate half of it and then shared the rest with Annie. What a sweet thing for the birthday girl to do.

After I picked up GK from school we had to head to the doctor for our 12 month visit. I know I am a mean mom! OH well...we got it over with and moved on. I was glad that I did it when I did because Robert was out of town and we weren't doing anything major anyway! After the doctor we went to Target to pick out a new toy. She picked out a purse with all the fun stuff in it. Well...I guess mommy picked it out. GK loves it though!

Then we headed over to Granmarie's house and yes on the way GK started THROWING UP! IT was horrible. I was so sad for her I wanted to cry, but I kept it together and we got to Granmarie's house cleaned up and then got ready for another one. So we did this on and off all night. Finally we went to sleep and slept through the night. Poor baby was so sick. It took her a good 24 hours to get over it.

So...despite the tummy bug we had a blast on first birthday! More pics of the party to come soon.

These are the balloons that Aunt MB and Uncle Clint gave GK for her birthday!

This is when she wasn't feeling great
