Happy Six Months, Georgia Kate

Georgia Kate is 6 months old now!!!!! I can't believe that she is growing up so fast. I never thought I would be a mom that would say this, but time does fly and it seems like just yesterday that I was bringing her home from the hospital. It has been the best 6 months of my life. I get a whole lot less sleep, I am ALWAYS busy, and there really isn't a whole of to "me" time these days. Hey...that's OK with me because I have a precious, healthy baby girl and for that I am very thankful.
Some things that Georgia Kate is doing these days...
She is eating all kinds of baby food
She is sleeping all night and has been for a while now
She is rolling over
She is trying so hard to crawl (we are so close)
She is even pulling up in her bed (I had to lower the mattress)
She laughs ALL the time
Babbling and yells REALLY loud when she wants your attention
She is becoming a "mommy's" girl ( I like it sometimes!!!)
She has the cutest personality and Robert and I are so glad that she is our little girl!

Gogo came to visit!

My mom came to Orlando this past weekend and we had a BLAST!!!! I miss her so much and I hate that she is not around to see Georgia Kate grow up. She is such a sweet grandmother and loves her Georgia Kate more than anything in the world. I am so glad that she came this past weekend and was sad to see her go, but we are looking forward to our trip to Baton Rouge in October to see Gogo and Ddan. Pictures to come soon! I just wanted everyone to know how wonderful my mom was and that we were honored to have her with us this weekend. I love MY MOM!!!!!!

Goodnight Sleep Tight

Robert and I went in to Georgia Kate's bedroom the other night and and found her like this. Don't worry we took the "lovey" away before we went to bed. I thought she looked so cute and confortable! I wanted to jump in bed with her.

New Trick

The other night I was laying on the couch and Georgia Kate was sitting on top of me. She realized that she was strong enough to pull up on the back of the couch and sneak over the top to see her Daddy in the kitchen! She was so proud of herself and I thought she was so precious doing it!
Looking down at Mommy!

How cute is this little girl!

Happy Birthday Gogo!

Today is Gogo's birthday. I love birthday's and my mom always made them so special for me. I try every year to make my mom's birthday special for her even though I am so far away. This year with a new addition to our family I had so many great ideas for her. I got some of them done and others not so much. This morning I woke Georgia Kate up a little bit early so that I could take some pictures of her. I made a sign that said "Happy Birthday Gogo". Robert and I put a birthday hat on her and took several pictures to send to my mom. I think they are precious. Georgia Kate also sent Gogo some flowers to school today. It was a small bud vase from a small little girl. My mom said they were beautiful. She left them at school on her desk so she would have something happy to smile at tomorrow. We hope Gogo had a great day. We miss her terribly and can't wait to see her. This is the longest we have gone without seeing her. She will be here soon though! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GOGO!

Fun With Katie!

I posted earlier about how my college roommate Katie Cannon was coming to visit us for the weekend. She was coming to see me and Robert, but she was REALLY coming to meet Georgia Kate. She got her late on Friday night, but Georgia Kate was up bright and early the next morning ready to meet Katie. We had a great weekend together. Katie and I went shopping on Saturday while Daddy stayed home with the baby and then on Saturday night Aunt Beth came and babysat while we went to the UCF/Samford game with Clint and Maribeth. Maribeth graduated from Samford so she was excited about seeing her Alma mater play. We had a good time. On Sunday we took our time getting up and getting ready for the day and headed to the mall. We had dinner at the Stuart's house that night and Stubaby and Granmarie offered to keep Georgia Kate for the night. Robert, Katie, and I headed to Cheesecake Factory to have dessert and drinks. We had a GREAT time and slept in on Monday. It was fun to have a night away, but I did miss my precious little girl. She is so much fun now and I don't like being away from her, but I know that Robert and I need our time. All in all it was great weekend and I am so glad that Katie came to visit. We can't wait for her to come back.

Yea for Labor Day!

I am so excited that I don't have to go to work today. I LOVE labor day because it hits at just the right time for a break from school. I know you are thinking that we have only been in school for 2 or 3 weeks, but it is nice to be able to stay at home with my baby girl today! More post to come later. I am about to go enjoy my time with Georgia Kate and my hubby!

My Big Girl in a Highchair!!!!!

I can't believe how fast Georgia Kate is growing up. We took our swing down and have moved on to the highchair. I can't believe that she is getting so big. She loves to be sitting up, but she has not mastered sitting by herself. She does love her Bumbo chair and exersaucer. We have tried to feed her in the highchair a couple of times, but it is a little difficult. She has a hard time sitting up straight and eating at the same time. I think that she loves the luxury of reclining in her soft, comfy Boppy Chair. I am sure she will get the swing of things soon.

I love my Mommy

I LOVE THIS PICTURE!!!!! Isn't she precious. I know I am partial, but I just love her so much.

She is so proud of her Daddy for building her highchair. I think all he had to do was take it out of the box and put a few screws in, but hey...she can still be proud.

I love My Stubaby

Stubaby is Robert's Dad. I came up with the name because he was tired of me calling him Mr. Stuart. I don't think its his favorite, but I am sure he will like it much better when Georgia Kate starts calling him that. Georgia Kate loves Stubaby. He and Granmarie came over for dinner Monday night and Georgia Kate didn't want Stubaby to put her down and OF COURSE he didn't put her down! Go Gators!!!!

Katie Is Coming!!!!!!

I am so excited about Labor Day weekend. First of all I am excited about spending three whole days with my baby girl. I love my job and love what I do, but I do have to admit that leaving Georgia Kate is not easy. I think about her all day long and what she is doing. My sweet Mother in law and Annie Annie always send updates and pictures throughout the day. It makes it a little bit easier.
Ok...back to what I originally was posting about! KATIE CANNON is coming to visit me! I guess I should really say that Katie Cannon is coming to meet Georgia Kate. Katie Cannon was my college roommate, sister I never had, best friend, spiritual encourager, and the only person that can REALLY put me in my place. We lived together for two years and had the best time ever! I hate to admit it, but we would come home on Friday afternoons from class and put our pajama pants on and watch movies ALL night. On Saturday mornings I would always run to her room and jump in her bed and we would talk about life. She is the friend that everyone needs. I am so glad that Georgia Kate gets to meet her. I hope that her and GKS will become the best of friends. I am sure that Katie will be like another aunt to her! Can't wait to see my friend. I am like a little kid on Christmas Eve waiting for Santa to come. I am sure I will post about our weekend. Come back for an update. Sorry no picture of Katie...I didn't have any saved on this computer.

Apple Juice...Teething Cookies...Life is Good!

Georgia Kate has two new teeth and she thinks she is a big girl now. I started giving her a little bit of apple juice just recently. I thought I will try it in a sippie cup and she has done great! I am so proud of her and how quickly she has picked up on sipping from the sippie cup. I also started giving her those little pinwheel things that Gerber makes that melt in your mouth. she wasn't so sure and first, but now she really likes them and finally figured out what to do with them. She is getting so big! I know you are tired of hearing that from me, but I can't believe how quickly they change and grow up.

New Shoes!

Georgia Kate finally got new shoes...not because I didn't want to buy them for her, but because I think that her feet aren't growing. I LOVE shoes and have looked forward to getting my little girl new shoes since I found out I was having a girl. I know that may sound silly, but I think that baby girl shoes are sooooo cute. My sweet sister in law, Piper has sent me several of Campbell's shoes that she can no longer fit in. Well...Georgia Kate's feet would not grow! I am sure they were growing just not as fast I would have liked for them to grow. Tonight Robert, Georgia Kate, and I went on a family outing to Target! I was looking at the shoe section and stumbled upon the baby shoes. I found these two pairs and I think they are so cute. I tried them on her and they "pretty" much fit, but I feel sure they will fit her by the fall when we really start wearing shoes. Hope you like them!
